Enter all necessary directories into the list. In the context menu you find an item that opens a file requester that lets you choose a directory from your harddisk.
The defined directories must contain JavaDoc generated files. Using JDK 1.1, you find the necessary directory in jdk-1.1/docs/api (under UNIX) or a similar directiory in your operating system.
When confirming your settings by pressing "OK", Jedi will build a new index, which may take a little time. A progess bar displays of the current status. When this is finished, the Jedi help system is ready to use.
